Interactive Visual Installation
Created an interactive audiovisual piece that exploring the concept of play as a trigger for growth. A Theremini was used as a hybrid MIDI controller to generate visuals and sound simultaneously, inviting visitors to engage, play, and shape the evolving environment through movement and sound.
Interaction
By repurposing a Theremini as a hybrid MIDI controller, all traditional barriers to entry were removed. Visitors needed no musical skills—just their natural gestures in the air—to simultaneously generate sound and light.
Generative
The visuals were algorithmically generated in real-time, responding to the Theremini's sensor data. Each gesture created unique patterns of light and sound, ensuring no two performances were alike—a living, evolving artwork shaped entirely by its audience.
